Angela and Derek are running the Queenstown Marathon on 20 November 2021, in honour of their brother/brother-in-law, Chris Holmes.
Nationwide
Our much loved brother/brother in law Chris Holmes passed away on Saturday 14 August. Chris was diagnosed with neuroendocrine (NET) cancer in 2011.
Due to the covid restrictions we have been unable to give Chris the farewell he deserves so we have chosen to honour him by raising funds for the Unicorn Foundation, a charity that was so dear to his heart.
Chris was on the board of the Unicorn Foundation and assisted them in campaigning for PRRT treatment to be offered in NZ and to raise awareness about NET cancer.
Chris was an incredibly inspirational and kind man who was passionate about helping others. He recently completed the Tarawera 50km ultra marathon which was an outstanding achievement on his part.
We will run the Queenstown marathon on Saturday 20 November 2021 in honour of you, Chris Holmes.
The world has lost a truly great man ❤️
