$7 of $961 goal
Given by 3 generous donors in around 12 months

Support the safety of 115 children at Kindergarten "Brook" in Ukraine, by funding the equipping of a bomb shelter with essential supplies.

International

Directly support Ukrainian children who attend Kindergarten "Brook" in Chernihiv by equipping a bomb shelter.

This fundraiser’s goal is to cover cost of essential carefully selected supplies to equip the Kindy’s shelter.

In Chernihiv, Ukraine, Kindergarten #69 "Brook" needs your support to equip a basement bomb shelter, ensuring the safety of 115 attending children during frequent in the region air alarms (1,117 so far, mostly in the afternoons when children are at the Kindy). Your donation will provide essential supplies, including:

5 flashlights for shelter

2 air recirculators with bactericidal lamps

2 food thermoses (20L each)

11 plastic containers for food

Thanks to generous donors of our initial fundraising https://go.ukrainian.nz/rgQR, immediate provision of 60 thermal pads (20mm) is possible, with one-third of the funding covered by Hamilton City Council Koha.

Our donations target, less the fundraising platform and bank fees ($48 and $9, respectfully), is equivalent of the Kindy’s direct assistance value in Ukrainian currency (UAH) as on 25 December 2023, being UAH 21,152.

When the goal is achieved,

• in Ukraine, charity Prizm, whom we are working closely with, suggests at least three suppliers for each item, and

• we review invoices to ensure your donations are distributed as per the purpose, and

• the funds are passed to the charity to pay for the Kindy’s shelter equipment.

All money you donate, less 6.3% of third parties' fees, are spent to support Ukraine’s children.

"Hello everyone!!! Good news for you, today Kindergarten 69 received the long-awaited rugs) The children went down to the bomb shelter twice today and were tired. But when I brought them the rugs, they were very happy and started to put together puzzles and create cozy play areas) The children really liked the help. Everyone was very grateful!!!"

Thanks to generous donors of our initial fundraising https://go.ukrainian.nz/rgQR, 60 thermal pads provided, with one-third of the funding covered by Hamilton City Council Koha.

Hope, the kids will never need this bomb shelter, however, it should have all they require in case of emergency.
