HELP ABANDONED ANIMALS IN UKRAINE –

FROM NEW ZEALAND WITH LOVE

My friends in Poland are working all hours to gather and bring animal food to shelters and villages in Ukraine, and return with abandoned animals. Photos are from their last trip. (This is the Posnan branch of Viva animal rescue charity.) The original outpouring of local support has dried up (maybe compassion fatigue, or locals can’t afford to keep giving, or both). So we’re starting a fund here to buy the animal supplies “From New Zealand With Love”. They transport in regular cars, as trucks and vans can attract attention. The more we raise, the more trips they’ll make. As you know, the situation is pretty desperate. So they truly appreciate anything we can do to support them. I know I felt a bit helpless, being so far away and not able to be hands-on in saving these animals. This is a way we can all help from NZ, with love. Thank you.
