Help Alex vie for a medal under the automotive refinishing skill category at the WorldSkills International Competition in Abu Dhabi.
Wellington
My name is Alex Banks, I'm 21 and I'm from Wellington.
My skill is Automotive Refinishing (a.k.a. car painting). I've always had a passion for cars and decided to get into spray painting, because I enjoy restoring cars back to how they looked when they were brand new.
I work at my local panel shop, Stokes Valley Collision. They took me on full time after I did my work experience, and I have been there for a year now.
I won the gold medal last year in the WorldSkills National Competition. Now, I get the opportunity to be a part of the Tool Blacks team, which means I get to go to Melbourne and Dubai to compete against other spray painters from around the globe!
So it would mean a lot if you could support me in this journey and Give a Little.
