Help Jack vie for a medal in the aircraft maintenance skill category at the WorldSkills International Competition in Kazan.
Auckland
My name is Jack Westcott and I work for Air New Zealand Line Maintenance in Auckland, New Zealand.
My function is to perform the daily routine servicing, inspection, and defect rectification of the Air New Zealand jet fleet ranging from A320 to 787 Dreamliner. A key requisite of my role is the ability to draw on a diverse personal portfolio of high level skills, whilst working to highly restrictive time pressures - safely and in accordance with strict aviation regulations.
I won the New Zealand WorldSkills national aviation maintenance competition in August and selected for the NZ Skills Team. I am honoured to represent my country and national carrier in the field of aircraft engineering to display to the rest of the world that our small country can compete on the world stage.
Please help me raise funds to allow me participate in Kazan.
