Support Lucie and Will in their quest to bring home the Teams Challenge Trophy and help out Alzheimers New Zealand!!!
Canterbury
The Whitehorse Challenge pits a team against an endurance run and bike, alongside some fundraising. As usual entering the Whitehorse challenge was Lucie’s crazy idea. Her lucky husband Will probably doesn't know he's entered yet (and has an 18km run to do), so if someone could let him know before raceday that'd be great (sorry Will Lucie nabbed the bike leg).
Lucie and Will both work for the police and have five boys that drive them mad enough to complete this challenge!
They are passionate about supporting local communities and have chosen Alzheimer’s NZ as their charity receiving 25% of all the donations (alongside our nominated charities listed below).
"Helping Alzheimer’s NZ is close to our hearts and the increase in people suffering from the disease is increasing every year. So the sooner we can prevent it, the better!"
So get donating - every $1 raised over $250 gives a 1 second time advantage to the team, as well as a hand up for our great causes!
The Waimate Rotary Club runs the Whitehorse Challenge, with teams raising funds for local and regional charities, while testing their athletic skills!
This year 75% of funds raised will go towards Sports Waimate, Centrecare Counselling, Waimate School of Music, Waimate Rotary Club, and the Whitehorse MTB Club. Lucie & Will have chosen Alzheimers New Zealand as their charity of choice for the final 25%.
