Support Angus and Ella in their quest to bring home the Teams Challenge Trophy and help out the Cancer Foundation Canteen!!!
Canterbury
The Whitehorse Challenge pits a team against an endurance run and bike, alongside some fundraising. This year the Roncalli Sports Leaders have taken up the challenge laid down by their aged and slightly arthritic teachers (Guy and Bryce) who have also entered a team. This will be the ultimate grudge match - young vs old, students vs teachers, mullets vs skinheads!
Angus & Ella both love sports and are heavily involved in rugby. This is the first time either of them have done the race and thought clambering up a big hill would be a good way to test their abilities! Their peak fitness probably hit during covid lockdown, but they're sure with youth and three weeks on their side that it'll be back in no time.
Angus is taking on the 27km MTB leg, while Ella takes on the gruelling 18km run. They are throwing their 25% support behind the Cancer Foundation Canteen.
So get donating - every $1 raised over $250 gives a 1 second time advantage to the team, as well as a hand up for our great causes!
The Waimate Rotary Club runs the Whitehorse Challenge, with teams raising funds for local and regional charities, while testing their athletic skills!
This year 75% of funds raised will go towards Sports Waimate, Centrecare Counselling, Waimate School of Music, Waimate Rotary Club, and the Whitehorse MTB Club. They have chosen the Cancer Foundation Canteen as their charity of choice for the final 25%.
