After increasing the length of the Big Easy run to a full half marathon we had to ditch the Whitehorse Solo event for a couple of years. Our thoughts were that no-one could finish the run in time to make the gun for the bike leg.
For us mere mortals the thought of biking 27km after running a half marathon is the thing of nightmares, however if anyone's got a chance at cracking it, then Hamish Elliott, fresh off an amazing win in the 2024 Kathmandu Coast to Coast, is the man for the job!!!!! The current course record holder for the Big Easy 18km run, we're all excited to see what he can do with the half :)

About us
The Waimate Rotary Club runs the Whitehorse Challenge, with teams raising funds for local and regional charities, while testing their athletic skills!
Use of funds
This year funds raised will go towards Sports Waimate, Centrecare Counselling, Waimate School of Music, Waimate Rotary Club, and the Whitehorse MTB Club.
