Dave and Tim are competing in the Whitehorse Challenge - Running, Biking, AND raising $500 for local, regional, and national charities!
Canterbury
Dave and Tim are completing the Whitehorse Challenge, a teams challenge run as part of the Whitehorse Big Easy event. Teams have the dual challenge of splitting a 25km mountainbike and 18km mountain run with a fundraising challenge. Teams are required to raise $500 via this page, that will be distributed by the Waimate Rotary Club to local, regional, and national causes, including Kidscan, Centrecare, South Canterbury Hospice, Bushtown, and the Whitehorse Mountainbiking Club (for further track maintenance).
Dave (running) and Tim (biking) join the challenge from Mike Greer Homes in Christchurch. Dave lost a bet, and having already pawned the children he really had no other option. We’re told his hobbies include stamp collecting, chess, and scrap booking the Royal Family photos. Life of the party we're sure! With hobbies like this you wouldn’t normally predict that his main running experience was evading the police in Ashburton (during his delinquent days). Tim meanwhile decided the biking was a good way to get out of the house away from his wife (NOTE: his words not ours – please spare us……). His training highlights (when he’s not enjoying other one-off hobbies like underwater arc welding) apparently peaked with a few trike-a-thons back at Waimate Kindy. Let’s hope the absence of the third wheel doesn’t put him off! Give them some dosh and show your support!
Jump on board and support Dave and Tim, or head on over to www.whitehorsebigeasy.co.nz and enter your own team.
