Leon and Aydan are competing in the Whitehorse Challenge - Running, Biking, AND raising $500 for local, regional, and national charities!
Canterbury
Andrea and Rob are completing the Whitehorse Challenge, a teams challenge run as part of the Whitehorse Big Easy event. Teams have the dual challenge of splitting a 25km mountainbike and 18km mountain run with a fundraising challenge. Teams are required to raise $500 via this page, that will be distributed by the Waimate Rotary Club to local, regional, and national causes, including Kidscan, Centrecare, South Canterbury Hospice, Bushtown, and the Whitehorse Mountainbiking Club (for further track maintenance).
A Rotary Club has accepted the Waimate challenge and joined the race! Leon (running) and Aydan (biking) are members of the Next Rotary Generation (NRG) Club Invercargill which has the scary claim of having an average age of 28, and 80% female membership – not your typical Rotary club! The club is always up for a challenge and decided they were crazy enough to step up and support this Rotarian cause. They are especially keen to support Kidscan (one of our dedicated charities) in their fundraising efforts, so Invercargill get behind your local team and support this great charity that has a long history of Rotarian involvement. We’re keen to see the battle between the Goliath of the five Invercargill clubs and the David of the Waimate club - both on the track, and in the fundraising challenge. For race day Leon and Aydan bring some good experience to the table (along with a healthy age advantage), so may the best club/team win!
Jump on board and support Leon and Aydan (and NRG Invercargill), or head on over to www.whitehorsebigeasy.co.nz and enter your own team.
