Gizmo need’s his leg amputated. We are asking for donations to cover the operation and his previous treatment costs.
Auckland
Meet Gizmo, Gizmo was found at a cat colony in Howick with his sister Faith. He had a cat flu. But recovered well until we discovered that prior to coming into care at Lonely Miaow he had broken his back right leg.
Kittens do mend quickly but unfortunately the bone in his leg fused together very close to his growth plate and as he grew he started to limp. Our friends at Pakuranga Vets checked him. His leg is stiff and there was an issue with the tendons being so tight it was restricting his movement. As he wasn’t limping all the time and he was using the leg we sent Gizmo for Physio.
Unfortunately Gizmo has grown a lot and the physio wasn’t able to help his leg. So now we have to have Gizmo’s leg amputated. We are asking for donations to cover the operation and his previous treatment costs.
Gizmo has a super personality he is good with respectful dogs and he loves the company of other cats and kids. He will be looking for a forever home in a few weeks when he has recovered from surgery and can be rehomed.
So please let us know you if can adopt and give this special boy his forever home.
Rescuing stray and abandoned cats and kittens around the greater Auckland area, caring for them in foster homes, and finding their forever homes.
Will go towards the cost of his leg amputation
Gizmo has had surgery 29 June 2018
Hi everyone, I just wanted to give you an update on Gizmo.
Gizmo has had his surgery and is doing really well. Having 3 legs hasn’t slowed him down he’s like a little rocket and into to everything.
Thank you to everyone that has donated we are still not quite at target but we are so grateful for all your help.
I popped a few pictures on. George has decided he loves sleeping with Gizmo and has taken to giving him baths (not so sure Gizmo is too impressed)
Also Gizmo is still looking for his forever home. If you think you can offer that please let us know.
Thanks Chantell
