The Lonely Miaow Association Incorporated

Founded in 1990, the Lonely Miaow Association is Incorporated and registered charity dedicated to the rescue and care of stray and abandoned cats and kittens in the greater Auckland area. Every day, we receive requests for assistance with homeless cats and kittens from the public.

Our organisation is run and supported by volunteers, and rescues are cared for by our dedicated foster families, in their own homes. LMA provides all necessary training, supplies, support (including all costs), to ensure the best outcomes for our Volunteers and Rescues.

Our registered Charity Number - CC23729 | Incorporated Society Number - 681538.Every year, Lonely Miaow rescue hundreds of stray and abandoned cats and kittens in the wider Auckland region. And we can’t do it without your support.

Vet bills very quickly accumulate. This doesn’t include the cost of food, litter, bedding or toys for our rescues.

The majority of our rescues have never know a warm bed or even a regular meal. By donating to Lonely Miaow, you are giving vulnerable cats and kittens a chance at life and the care that every living creature deserves.
