We need to raise $1,400 to cover the medical treatments for Tallulah and Otis

Auckland

Let us introduce you to Tallulah and Otis.

Tallulah is a beautiful fluffy tortoiseshell five year old kitty. We rescued her after she was abandoned by her owners at a caravan park. At her check up at the vet it was discovered that her mouth was a bit of a mess - she had rotten teeth and a yucky infection. If she was left any longer, she would have become extremely sick.

Otis was just four months old when he came into our care. At first a weary ginger lad, now at eight months old, he’s grown a lot more trusting of humans. However due to his rough start in life, Otis was exposed to a virus which effected his mouth and has now damaged his teeth.

Tallulah has already undergone multiple tooth extractions. She’s back at her foster home on pain relief and anti inflammatory medication for a week. Her medical bills total $500.

Otis has been on some heavy medication for the last two weeks and has another two weeks to go before his next check up. The medication doesn’t seem to be helping and things are looking a bit worrying for Otis. It’s likely he will have to have a full mouth extraction, bringing his total treatment cost to at least $900.

We desperately need your help to raise $1,400 for these sweet kitties. They didn’t ask for this and they deserve all the love and care that we can give them. We can’t do it without your help. Every dollar raised will help these poor babies get another chance at the life they deserve.

Otis is all clear! But Jem needs help  5 October 2019

Great news! After 4 weeks of treatment, Otis has had his check up and we’ve been told he doesn’t need to have a full mouth extraction! We’re so happy for him! He needs to stay on Omega supplements and his teeth will need to be monitored for the foreseeable future to make sure everything remains ok. Next step for Otis is adoption!

We rescued 18 cats from this colony. Tallulah and Otis aren’t the only ones that require medical attention for their teeth. Jem (pictured below), a pregnant mum, is going to need 2-3 teeth extracted. She’s just had her babies so once we’re given the all clear and her babies are big and strong, she’ll be off to have some rotten teeth removed.

Any funds raised over and above the amount needed to cover Tallulah and Otis’ treatments will be going toward Jem’s.

Thank you so much to everyone who has contributed. We appreciate it more than you know ❤️
