Thanking donors and pledgers

Donors and pledgers can receive an pre-prepared message from you when they get their receipt. You you can set up the message under the Gratitude section when you add or edit your page, and it gets included in the email that goes out with the receipt PDF. As well as a general "thanks, you're awesome" message, you might want to encourage them to share your page or check out more information about you (you can include links, e.g. to your own website.)

You can also respond individually to donations and pledges. At anytime log in to your Givealittle account and head to your page. You can then view the latest donation transactions and post responses - these will also be emailed to the person, allowing you to thank them personally even if they have donated anonymously. Everyone loves a thank you!

Showing gratitude perpetuates the goodness - it gives your supporters the warm fuzzies, and an incentive to continue their support. Givealittle gives you a number of ways to send personal messages of gratitude.


Set up automated “Thank You” messages

These are messages of gratitude that you pre-set to share with your donors and fundraisers automatically. You can set these up in the Gratitude section when you create your page. They can be edited at any time, to keep your donors and fundraisers up to date with new information and motivational messages.

This automated thank-you message is sent out with the receipt, or with the page confirmation in the case of a new Fundraiser.

As well as a thank-you, you can use this function to send out "calls to action" related to your campaign and include links to other pages.
For example: "Thanks for your donation! Please visit our Facebook page to see the impact you have made."


Respond directly to donors via your Givealittle page

For the personal touch, you can comment directly on each donation (this is in addition to the automated thank you message, described above, which goes out with the donation receipt).

At anytime log in to your Givealittle account and head to your page to view the donation feed. When you are logged in you will see a "Reply" link for donations to your page.

To view the donation and add your own message, go to https://my.givealittle.co.nz/transactions/fundraising/donation and select “View and Comment” to drill down to the donation details:

You'll see a prompt to Add or Edit your message (as well as appearing on the page, your message gets emailed to the donor when you select Send.) To delete your message, just save it as a blank (nothing will get emailed to the donor).
